1. Who We Are

SpeedUpMyWP is operated by Steve Richardson, Caterham, Surrey, UK. Contact: hi@speedupmywp.com

2. What We Collect

  • Account data: your email address and hashed password when you sign up.
  • Site data: the URL of WooCommerce sites you connect, and an encrypted authentication token for each site.
  • Audit data: performance metrics (page speed scores, Core Web Vitals, plugin list, WooCommerce version) collected from your site during audits.
  • Server logs: standard web server access logs (IP address, timestamp, URL) retained for 30 days.

3. What We Don't Collect

We do not access, store, or process your customers' personal data, order data, payment information, or any other WooCommerce store content beyond performance metrics.

4. How We Use Your Data

  • To run performance audits on your connected sites.
  • To send you audit results and service notifications by email.
  • To improve the service.

5. Data Storage

Data is stored on servers in the EU (Hetzner, Germany). Audit jobs are processed on a server in the EU. We do not transfer your data outside the UK/EU.

6. Data Retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. Audit results are kept for 12 months. You may request deletion at any time by emailing hi@speedupmywp.com.

7. Your Rights (UK GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email hi@speedupmywp.com.

8. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies are used.

9. Third Parties

  • Webshare.io: proxy service used to run performance audits from different locations. Your site URL is passed through their proxies during audits.
  • Google Lighthouse: open-source tool used locally to measure page performance.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be notified by email. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance.
